We're proud to be part of the team delivering one of Wisconsin's largest infrastructure investments.

Last week, Edgerton Contractors joined our project partners and community stakeholders for a firsthand look at the ongoing I-94 East-West reconstruction. It's always valuable to showcase the complexity, collaboration, and long-term vision behind projects that will serve Wisconsin drivers for generations.

From improving safety and efficiency to supporting economic growth throughout the region, this is more than a roadway project. It's an investment in Wisconsin's future, and we're proud to be helping build the infrastructure that will keep our state moving for decades to come.

🎉NEW TEAM MEMBER ALERT!🎉

We're thrilled to announce that Ayden H. has joined Edgerton Contractors as a full-time Operating Engineer Apprentice!

Ayden has been part of our Youth Apprentice program for the past two years, and we've watched him develop into a dedicated and skilled member of the team. A recent graduate of South Milwaukee High School, Ayden has chosen to launch his career right here with us.

His commitment to the program and hands-on experience have prepared him well for this next step. We're excited to see where his career with Edgerton will take him.

Please join us in welcoming Ayden to the team!

Over 35 years, Randy Henke has been the steady hand behind the dozer blade, shaping much of Edgerton’s legacy.

From the complex interchanges threading through Milwaukee, to the graceful slopes rising along Lake Michigan. From reclaiming old quarries to crafting the iconic landscapes of the Epic Systems Campus. And from the launch facilities of South Texas to the spaceports of Cape Canaveral, where his expertise helped build the infrastructure supporting humanity’s reach for the stars.

Randy was also one of the very first operators to help implement and prove out Edgerton’s GPS machine control technology. Back when the systems were brand new, he tested the earliest setups on a simple cul-de-sac. He then took them to a much larger scale on the Marquette Interchange project. Many nights, like the one on the McKinley Ave SB on-ramp at 10:00 p.m., he worked under the glow of giant, blindingly bright green light bars, waiting for those short windows when the satellites aligned and only four were available. His willingness to pioneer this technology helped transform how we grade with precision today.

Today we celebrate Randy’s well-deserved retirement after three and a half decades of excellence, dedication, and quiet leadership. Thank you, Randy, for everything you’ve built with us.

Here’s to the next chapter. May your seat in the bass boat be just as comfortable, and a lot more relaxing, than the one you’ve occupied for us all these years.

Congratulations, Randy! Wishing you all the best.

Summer is in full swing, and our crews have been busy making progress across several jobsites—from earthwork and underground utilities to road construction and site development.

Our intern, Nolan, has been utilizing our Propeller drone to capture interim quantities while also snapping some incredible aerial photos that showcase the progress from above. Here are a few highlights from the first stretch of summer.

We're looking forward to keeping the momentum going through the rest of the season!

Interested in building projects like these? We're always looking for skilled equipment operators and hardworking team members to join our crew. Visit our careers page to learn more and apply.

Last week, our crews took part in safety stand-downs across Oak Creek, Verona, and Cape Canaveral—reinforcing what it takes to keep our jobsites and teams safe every day.

We wrapped things up by joining our partners at Zignego Company, Walbec Group, and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation at the 2026 I-94 East-West Safety Event—continuing the conversation and commitment to safety across our industry.

As we head into Memorial Day weekend, it’s a good reminder that safety doesn’t stop at the jobsite. Slow down, stay alert, and look out for one another—whether you’re in a work zone or on your way to spend time with family. The orange barrels don’t take the weekend off—and neither does safety.

We operate heavy equipment every day, and that comes with a responsibility to look out for one another on the job. That same mindset carries beyond the work zone—because we all play a part in getting everyone home safe.

A special shoutout to Fabick Cat for feeding our teams and for your continued partnership.
