-on the rest of the house we pulled the steel siding and installed 10 more new construction style windows with full frame, nail fl**ge, fashing tape and drip cap before re-setting the existing sliding just like building code requires on new construction.
- Don't let the window companies you see on TV Talk you into their insert Windows. They will essentially cut the old window out between your sidings J channel and leave you with a window that is only sealed from the exterior with caulk or silicone.
- fun fact.. steel and vinyl siding have weep holes in the bottom because they are not waterproof and water is going to get behind them. The only thing that keeps your house's exterior Waterproof is house wrap paper behind it. installing a window with a full nail fl**ge that is properly layered with sill flashing tape, flashing tape on the sides and drip cap on the top is the key to keeping water from coming into the interior of your house...

New Marvin essential window installed and roof repair completed in Eden Prairie, MN.

A rotten wood window, poor design from the original build in 1980 and multiple re-roofs/re-sides lead to five spots water has been leaking into the garage below.

On this one we replace the existing window with a smaller window allowing us to raise the slope of the flat section of roof from a 2/12 to to a 3.5/12. New matching shingles were installed with proper flashing to make sure that the water drains quickly And doesn't leak into the house.
