Routine pumping, Whidbey Island.
Thin scum mat up top, sludge building down below. Add them together and it’s pump day. Hose undefeated.

A thin crust alone isn’t the verdict. It’s the mat plus the sludge that tells you when it’s time. If you don’t know your numbers, we’ll measure them. (833) STINKY2

Throwback to Cougar Creek Lodge up near Williams Lake, BC. Went to Canada for a moose. Moose wouldn’t cooperate. So the lodge sent out their big brown beaver for moral support, and he took it personally. Turns out a Canadian beaver and a Washington septic guy have a professional disagreement about where water should go. He backs it up. I make it go away. We hashed it out the Canadian way: no yelling, no paperwork, just a dance in a field. Great camp, great guides, one very opinionated beaver. Back home on Whidbey now, pumping and inspecting, no beavers on the crew. Yet.

Most people are carving pumpkins right now. We’re out here carving THIS out of an outlet tee.

The tank backed up, the house backed up, and somebody’s weekend plans backed up right behind it.

The scariest thing on Whidbey tonight isn’t a costume. It’s what happens when your septic tank decides to trick-or-treat at your shower drain.

Good news: Dirty Deeds answers the phone on Friday nights. Bad news: this tee did not survive the exorcism unscathed. Filter cleaned, baffle cleared, tank pumped, family back to candy duty.

Moral of the story: if it’s thicker than a Snickers, it shouldn’t be in your septic tank. Treat your tank, not trick it.

Skid’s in costume a day early. Have a safe and fun Halloween weekend, Whidbey. Watch for little ghouls in the road, and save the dirty work for us. (833) STINKY2

Spin filter or… is it the Forbidden Corn Dog? Oak Harbor OSCAR system, annual inspection. Filters packed, recirc pump clogged, tanks full, mound still happy. Yearly checks are cheaper than guessing. (833) STINKY2.

Another happy customer:
"We called dirty deeds to get our septic pumped after it backed up into our crawlspace. We had been getting the runaround from another company for months about the smell we were experiencing, but I called them same day and after a few questions they came right out and pumped our tank within a couple hours. Chris was fantastic! He walked us through our septic maintenance and explained the tank system, drain fields, and preventative maintenance. He was kind, knowledgeable, and efficient. From the scheduling, front office, service, through invoicing and payment, the whole process was quick and as painless as an overflowing septic tank can be."

Nobody plans for the septic guy at their wedding. Nobody RSVPs for him either. But when the tank decides to object right before the toast, guess who’s on the dance floor.

Skid came to pump. Skid stayed to perform. The lid’s open, the hose is hooked up, and the first dance is now a two-step around the riser.

Pro tip from the band: if the lawn by the tent goes soft and the toilets start gurgling mid-ceremony, that’s not nerves. That’s the tank asking for a plus-one. Call us before the reception, not during it.

We take crap from everyone. Even the wedding party.

Pretty in pink. Monday money shot.

Not spectacular, but it’s flowing, and that’s the whole point. Hose in, scum mat out, and that inlet tee went from stuffed to draining before the coffee got cold. A tank doesn’t need to look dramatic to be doing its job again. Yours got a face like this? Give us a call before Monday turns into an emergency.
