Been a busy few days on this deck. Essentially had to rebuild half of it, add in blocking for the new deck board layout and some more blocking for the picture frame pieces bordering the deck itself.

I think when people want to to just add new, low maintenance composite or pvc decking onto an existing deck that’s 20-30+ years old, a lot is not considered that will have to be done.

So it’s important to be prepared that you’re likely going to have to do more and spend more than just money on the decking itself.

And if you’re going to spend $4-10,000 on decking material only, be sure to address everything else that needs to be done to prevent future problems. You want more time enjoying your deck and less time fixing it.

Time for an upgrade on this deck. We’re just giving it a facelift. All new composite decking and a new built stair case ...

Time for an upgrade on this deck. We’re just giving it a facelift. All new composite decking and a new built stair case with the composite as well. Framing is getting addressed as we go to and we’re refastening all existing posts with new blocking and hardware as the way they were initially done was pretty sad.

I’ve gained a few followers since this build so here is a little throwback to this really sharp coastal farmhouse set I built for a family’s NJ shore house.

This one was a MONSTER! All ash, a 1 3/4” thick table top that was 38” wide and just over 8’ long. 😅 💪🏻 😬 A matching bench and some additional individuals seats to top it off.

It was so heavy they decided to use the forklift on site to get it up and onto the 2nd floor deck and into their dining space versus taking the stairs. Can’t say I blame them.

A really beautiful set that has had many memories made around it already. This was a really awesome project for a really great family.

The chairs were purchased raw and I just did all the finish work to get it all to match.

Happy to give some support to local happenings in town like our weekly farmers market! Great people and vendors from top...

Successful day delivering and installing this vanity in Haddonfield. Janet was above the moon thrilled with it and it looks insanely beautiful in the newly renovated master bathroom. Can’t wait to see it with new stone and the fixtures done.
