Proud to share that Evans Roofing was honored with the 2026 Florida Preservation Award for our work on the St. James AME Church metal reroof project in Sanford, Florida.

This project represents the power of partnership, preservation, and community commitment.

Completed in close collaboration with the City of Sanford, the project focused on protecting a historic and deeply valued place of worship while strengthening it for the future. Through careful planning and coordination, church services and community activities were able to continue with minimal disruption while our team delivered structural improvements and a modern metal roofing system built for long-term durability, resilience, and Florida’s demanding climate.

For us, this was more than a roofing project. It was an opportunity to help preserve an important cultural landmark, support a local community, and contribute to Sanford’s heritage for generations to come.
