Big milestone! We officially added two brand new, fully electric EV Backhoes to our fleet. To our knowledge, we are the first contractor in the Bay Area to adopt electric heavy equipment!
This investment allows us to continue building in a cleaner, safer, and quieter environment for the local communities we serve. Huge thank you to our incredible team whose hard work makes forward-thinking innovations like this possible. Let’s keep leading the way! 🛠️🌍

This Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

At Ray’s Electric, this remembrance is personal. Our founder, Raymond Edward Gruendl, proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II after enlisting on his 18th birthday. His service, leadership, and dedication helped build the foundation of our company and continue to inspire us today.

As we remember all who served and sacrificed, we honor the legacy they leave behind.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend.

Repost! Rays Electric is proud to be part of the conversation. Strong industries are built through collaboration, especially during challenging times. We appreciate UCON for bringing contractors and union representatives together to focus on workforce development, partnership, and the future of construction.

Proud to have Ray’s Electric represented at the latest Operating Engineers (OE3) Semi-Annual Meeting, centered around this year’s theme: Building the American West.

From leadership presentations to meaningful conversations, it was a great opportunity to connect with fellow members and reflect on the work shaping our industry.

A great event all around—strong turnout, great food, and a special-edition challenge coin for members in good standing.

We’re excited to officially welcome Marcos Gomez to Rays Electric. Marcos joined us in early January (1/6/2026) as an Estimator Engineer.
While this is a new role, Marcos isn’t new to Rays—he previously interned with us and already has a solid understanding of how we operate, our culture, and our commitment to quality. That familiarity, combined with his drive and technical mindset, makes him a great addition to the team.

We’re looking forward to seeing Marcos continue to grow and contribute as he takes this next step in his career. Welcome aboard!
