Easily the best looking wall on Sennebec Pond… and I don’t just say that because we installed it. We brought this failing waterfront back to life in under a week. The Rosetta Hardscapes Grand Ledge from our friends at Gagne & Son Concrete Block is about as “Maine Lakefront” as you can get. And yes you can see it from across the water… as intended.

Sometimes our customers have most of their materials already right on site… all they need is help with a vision and putting the vision into action. This customer needed help putting this boulder wall back together and restoring the space from what was a driveway back into useable yard. Add in a few 6’ granite steps (the statement these steps make can’t be captured in a picture), an incredibly (over) engineered drainage system, 10 loads of fill removed, and a few days of patience in the excavator and you’re left with a functional flowing landscape. It’s wall season… wait until you see what’s up next.

Team Member Tuesday focuses on Bobby, as he observes a Rosetta Grand Ledge Top Block in its natural habitat… Bobby came to us last fall and has become our 3/4 timer… (in the summer he runs Sojourn Ice Co. - Philly Water Ice, Journeying through Maine with his family a few days a week… give them a follow the stuff is 🔥). He willingly spent all winter in the truck with Rick and I so we knew we had to keep him around! He’s a quick study, learning our work fast… and with an actual passion for the trade. It’s been an absolute pleasure having him around!

250 years of freedom. 250 years of independence. 🇺🇸

One of the greatest privileges of being an American is having the freedom to pursue what we love, build what we believe in, and create spaces where family and friends can come together.

This patio was one of our earliest projects and remains one of our favorites—not just because of the craftsmanship, but because it stayed in the family. Seeing it continue to be enjoyed years later is a reminder of why we do what we do.

Here’s to 250 years of freedom, family, hard work, and the pursuit of what makes us happy. Cheers, America. 🇺🇸
