Winding Walkway Wednesday FTW. Customer wanted curves and a flare that you could drive a school bus through… we said hold our Red Bulls. Gagne & Son Concrete Block Cottage Ledgestone II with a simple Hollandstone soldier row fit the bill for this gorgeous modern farmhouse. Aren’t those curves just smooth as 🧈?!

“The shot behind the shot”…

Bobby sent me this picture after a good chuckle. We talk about “content” a lot (we’re tradesmen, not influencers—we hate the C word 😂) we get a pretty good laugh out of the stuff we do trying to get the best angles.

It’s easily my least favorite part of the job. Not because I hate slowing down for pictures or because I get writer’s block. It’s because it’s probably the biggest source of self-doubt any entrepreneur can have.

I eat, sleep, and drink this work. It’s pretty much all my brain does (aside from being a dad and husband). I pour every ounce I have into it. Thankfully, that passion has rubbed off on the guys working with us. They love it just as much.

You spend so much time doing the work, looking for the perfect angle, getting that perfect clip for a reel, and then second-guessing yourself while trying to turn it into a post. It becomes so much of who you are that you open your vulnerability to the world.

“What if people think it’s stupid?”

“What if the stupid algorithm buries a project we’re so damn proud of?”

“What if people are sick of seeing us and our hardscape puns?” 😂

I could go on.

Like any small business, we rely heavily on our friends, family, customers, and followers. To those who constantly like, comment, share, and support what we do—thank you. Seriously. It means more than you probably realize. Every bit of interaction gives me a little more confidence to keep putting out there something I care so damn much about.

And if you’re just joining us, show us some love. Keep an eye out for our posts, share a few, and invite a friend to follow the page.

Especially this year, we’ve partnered with a great drone photographer who’s helping us put together some pretty awesome “content.” 🙄😂 That stuff will be coming out as the summer wraps up, and we’re pretty excited about it.

You never know how easy it is to put someone onto our work who ends up trusting us to transform their family’s outdoor living space.

If you see something you like, give it a like. If you know someone who might like it, share it. And if you’ve been following along for a while, thank you.

It really means a lot.

Thanks, guys.

Longevity and efficiency in our world means having the right toys… I mean, tools. 😂

Pave Tool Innovators, LLC | Hardscape Tools + Equipment’s motto is “Taking the hard out of hardscaping,” and they really do.

The right tools take a lot of the physical strain out of the job and make the tedious parts of an install a whole lot easier. That leaves us more time to focus on the details—and those are usually what make or break the finished product.

We work smarter to build better so we can keep doing it for years to come.

We’ve been away from our socials for a bit… because well it’s busy season…. But we’re gonna start from the ground up again, starting with a solid base… just like this Cambridge Pavers Sigma wall. Stay tuned. You’re not going to want to miss this one.

You saw the finished project… now let’s rewind. ⏪

The final pictures are always exciting, but there’s a lot that happens before you ever see the finished product. From the first scoop to the last detail, every step plays a part in building something that’s made to last.

Here’s a look at how this one came together. The customer had a lot of reclaimed granite he wanted to see put back together integrated into a new fresh patio from Gagne & Son Concrete Block.

250 years of freedom. 250 years of independence. 🇺🇸

One of the greatest privileges of being an American is having the freedom to pursue what we love, build what we believe in, and create spaces where family and friends can come together.

This patio was one of our earliest projects and remains one of our favorites—not just because of the craftsmanship, but because it stayed in the family. Seeing it continue to be enjoyed years later is a reminder of why we do what we do.

Here’s to 250 years of freedom, family, hard work, and the pursuit of what makes us happy. Cheers, America. 🇺🇸

Miranda was at the Maine Savings Amphitheater and texted me how disappointed she was Lil Wayne didn’t come on stage… I responded with “sorry babe we had grades to set and needed an extra hand” 🤷🏻‍♂️

“Daddy, I need to wear my princess dress to help clean the dump truck.”

No convincing needed.

One day she’ll outgrow princess dresses and want to spend her Sundays somewhere else. Until then, we’ll soak up every muddy, messy, memory-making moment.

The elusive yellow ball of light and warmth is back in the sky on this beautiful Saturday… for now. Don’t let days like this go to waste with a mediocre outdoor living space.
