Big win for Granite Corp. at the 131st PHCC Annual Trade Show in Maine!

As part of this event, four apprentices from across the state competed in a hands-on challenge, plumbing a full “mock” bathroom from start to finish—judged on Maine State Code, workmanship, pressure testing, and overall aesthetics.

We’re proud to announce that our very own Andrew Ross took 1st place!

Andrew will advance to represent at the PHCC Nationals in Milwaukee, Wisconsin this October.

Even more impressive—this marks the second year in a row that Granite Corp. has taken home 1st place. An incredible accomplishment and a direct reflection of the hard work, training, and leadership our team brings to the field every single day.

This is what excellence looks like.

At Granite Corp, we understand that safety is an investment — not an expense.
That’s why, effective January 1st, we implemented Type II hard hats across our operations. Unlike traditional industry-standard hard hats that are primarily designed to protect against top impacts, Type II hard hats provide enhanced protection from both top and side impacts. This added protection is especially important in dynamic work environments where hazards can come from any direction.
In addition, these hard hats offer a chin strap option, making them ideal for employees working in tight spaces, elevated areas, or high-movement environments. The chin strap helps ensure the hard hat stays securely in place at all times, providing continuous protection when it matters most.
By going beyond the minimum industry standard, we’re raising the bar for jobsite safety and reinforcing our commitment to proactive risk prevention.

The Festival of Trees, presented by the Central Maine Betterment Collaborative in conjunction with the Alfond Youth & Community Center and the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce, brings our community together in such a meaningful way each holiday season.
