Today I needed exactly two tongue depressors.

The smallest package they sell? 100.

At my current rate of tongue-depressor consumption, I won’t need to buy another box for roughly 45–50 lifetimes.

Which raises two important questions:

1. Is there a tongue depressor co-op where 50 of us each buy two?
2. Why isn’t anyone marketing “One Tongue Depressor” and “Two Tongue Depressor” packs?

Then it hit me…

This is exactly how some people buy heat pumps.

You need one small system for a bedroom… and someone tries to sell you enough equipment to cool the Pentagon. (By the way, this is because of the Efficiency Maine rebates)
