🏠 Another leak repaired. Another homeowner saved from buying a roof they didn't need.

This homeowner was preparing to put his house on the market when he discovered a leak. He called several roofing companies looking for a repair.

The problem? Most of them were trying to sell him a complete roof replacement.

When we inspected the roof, we found the leak, carefully removed the existing shingles, replaced the damaged wood, and completed the repair using the original roofing materials.

CAN YOUR ROOFER SAY THIS!
This week we installed a new roof for a homeowner here in Central Florida.

What made the job special was the house next door.

Over 20 years ago, I installed that roof myself.

As I stood there looking at it, I couldn't help but think back to the day we finished that job. It was late—around 8:30 at night. We had already made it all the way back to the shop when we realized we needed two longer nails specifically made for the ridge vent.

A lot of people would have called it good enough.

Instead, we drove back, grabbed the right nails, returned to the job, and finished it after dark because that's how we were taught to do things.

The guy finishing that roof with me was Scotty ("Scotty Too Hotty"). We went to high school together, learned to roof together, and he's still a local roofer today.

The salesman on that job was Brad. More than 20 years later, Brad is still working with me today.

Looking at that roof brought back a lot of memories. Not just of a roof, but of friendships, hard work, and the people who helped build this company.

I've been roofing since 1995. Materials have changed. Codes have changed. The industry has changed.

But doing things the right way—even when it means driving back to the shop for two nails at 8:30 at night—hasn't changed.
