"Duty Before Drywall"
Ceiling Collapses are SCARY-
There's nothing fun about part of your home or office literally falling down around your ears.
Many times we get asked "Well, you're telling me I can "get it done for cheaper-"
Why do you charge what you do?"
Well, take this last week, for example.
Garage 1- Lake City, FL
80+ Years Young Client
Son-In-Law (IN CALIFORNIA) finds us online, says he need a project evaluation for the family member. We get on site, and yes, while the front section is failing, the rest of the ceiling is in good shape. Versus a 1.5 week replacement with anticipated total cost over $10k, we managed to come in on time, under budget for less than HALF the cost of a full replacement.
Garage 2- Inverness, FL
Working Middle Class Family
Garage Ceiling is cracking, insulation showing, about to fall. We determine that a repair should be able to be made, replacing about 1/4 of the garage ceiling.
Client asks about financing, we get them approved thru Synchrony Financial.
(18 months, No Interest if Pd in Full.)
During the course of demo, the rest of ceiling isn't in GREAT shape, but it's currently static/salaveageable. Client gets the repair done, and buys themselves hopefully 5-7 years until the rest of the ceiling has to be replaced.
In both instances, we could have misrepresented the situation, and ABSOLUTELY sold a full replacement.
We didn’t.
Why?
