My Mom Debi Schmid sent me this picture today. This is a rose that grew in my grandmother's garden when I was a kid. It may have been the very rose I was taught to prune correctly back when I was a 13 year old looking for chore money 🤓 I am so lucky to have grown up in a gardening family. My mom always let me have my own flower bed and we went to every public garden we could together. Thanks Mom🌹

This project turned out great! The new walkways look like they've always been there. This lovely couple often watches their granddaughter who is three. She has been having a blast driving her trike around "her" new path. A few details here and there to attend to but overall I am so pleased! Some folks have big yards and love plants, some others have more modest yards and prefer entering spaces. When I was at the home show I had a gentleman ask me if I only designed beachy style yards. I had chance to stop by and see Mike and his fabulous yard today. I was lucky enough to be able to help with this project all the way from construction. We worked really hard to create good drainage throughout the site as well as a handsome landscape to complement this beautiful new home. "Brie, I love my yard. I had so many ideas about ways I wanted to use my new yard but no idea how to put it all together. In our first meeting, I dumped all of those disjointed ideas on you and somehow you made sense of them. I understand now, why it is so important to talk to a designer. There is no way I could have done this myself. You really listened to what I wanted and then had the expertise and creativity to make it real.
