During my years as an electrician, I’ve come across some crazy bad electrical “upgrades” found in homes and commercial buildings. I’d be heard to say (see below) quite often, and the guys would remind me that I say it constantly. Hence the meme. 😎

Looked at a job today for hooking up a 120v unit to work in unison with a future 50 amp whirlpool bath. Someone already did some of the work. Unfortunately, everything he wired is completely wrong. All the wires have to be pulled out and replaced with the proper sized wires. Not gonna be cheap.

A long time, devoted employee at my former company, Aaron, the birthday boy here, had gotten a bunch of people from the company over, and family and friends for his birthday party, way the hell out in Lakeside! I had only just learned that Aaron is now a licensed C-10.
Furthermore, more!
He and Elena, (our HR person of 15 years and Jamie’s best friend), had gotten married! Big surprise! I’m so happy for the both of them. And it was nice seeing the guys again after 5 years.

Upgrading an old service to 200 amps. Had to trench out to the transformer & run 3” PVC. Some cement cutting was necessary. This was back in 2019 when I was the co-owner of my former company. Sold the company in 2022 & retired to Oceanside.

Customer needed an outdoor receptacle for a fountain. Got power from a kitchen outlet on the inside wall.

I installed a new 200 amp Square D service on this 1959 house. I ran a conduit into the garage to the old Zinsco panel and extended the circuits in that panel to the new service outside. The Zinsco panel is now a junction box.
