Unfortunately, sometimes we have to remove palms.

Lethal Bronzing Disease (LBD): The Unseen InvaderInsect Vectors: Formerly known as Texas Phoenix Palm Decline, this disease is caused by a cell-wall-less bacteria called a phytoplasma. It is injected directly into the palm's vascular system by a tiny, hard-to-spot planthopper insect (Haplaxius crudus). First Sign: A classic, eerie symptom is sudden premature fruit drop or flower blackening. Fatal Progression: The oldest (lowest) fronds will turn a distinct bronze-copper color before fading to gray.

Recently trimmed a Crepe Myrtle in anticipation of spring. 🌱 Timing is critical for trimming all plants. Don't give up on your plants. It's common for us to be asked to remove plants that have been damaged by frost, even if they're still alive. Having patience can be beneficial.
