On Friday, May 29th, we celebrated the retirement of Webster Hayden after an incredible 47 years of dedicated service. It was an emotional occasion, as many of us have had the privilege of working alongside Webster for years and have been impacted by his leadership, work ethic, and friendship.

During the celebration, VP Tommy Luc highlighted just one of the many stories about Webster. In reality, the entire event could have been dedicated to the countless stories that have kept us laughing over the years. That's the kind of projects Webster ran and the kind of person he is—someone who believed in working hard to get the job done while making sure everyone had a little fun along the way.

One of Webster's most famous sayings was, "Slow down, but hurry up every chance you get" a phrase many of us heard more times than we can count and one that perfectly captured his unique approach to getting things done.

We will miss Webster's easygoing personality, positive attitude, and willingness to lend a hand wherever it was needed. His impact on B&D and the people he worked with will not soon be forgotten.

Webster will be truly missed, but we wish him many years of health, happiness, and blessings in retirement. May this next chapter far exceed all of his expectations and be filled with the same joy and laughter he brought to those around him every day.

We extend our gratitude to ABC Chesapeake Shores for successfully hosting another exceptional event. The B&D crew enjoyed themselves, and notably, they received several awards. Harlan Rose demonstrated his expertise in clay conservation, securing his title for the second consecutive year.

We are proud to recognize Yecid Andree Minaya as Employee of the Month for Febuary.

Yecid consistently goes above and beyond on every project he is assigned to. At the CitizenM project, he took the lead on the gear, handling the work with confidence and a strong sense of ownership. More recently, he seamlessly jumped in to assist with lighting, showing his versatility and willingness to support the team wherever needed.

No matter what is asked of him, Yecid approaches each task with a positive attitude and gives it his all. He can always be counted on to step up, take responsibility, and see the work through to completion. His dedication, reliability, and work ethic set a great example for those around him.

Kevin has stepped up by taking on the fire alarm role at the CitizenM project while continuing to help in other areas of the jobsite as needed. He has proven himself reliable and willing to take on added responsibility without hesitation. His leadership continues to grow, and his efforts have made a noticeable impact on the job.

We are proud to recognize Mike Phaneuf as Employee of the Month for October 2025. Mike was hired as a helper in the Service Department back in October of 2019. Mike worked alongside several Service Department Technicians over the years and has always strived to learn all aspects of the Service Department. Mike moved up from helper to Service Technician and has been on a Service Truck of his own since August 2024. He recently attended the Generac Generator school in Pennsylvania and is Generac Certified.

Mike always has a great attitude and always shows a willingness to get the work assigned to him completed in a timely manner. He has quickly become a customer favorite having many repeat customers ask for him specifically. Mike is a great asset to the Service Department and is a pleasure to work with.

We sincerely appreciate all the hard work and dedication.
