· The Health Department has received many applicants for the contact tracing positions and we are excited to be adding to our team. Anyone who is interested in applying for this position can visit the following link www.staffitusa.com to apply and review the job description. Please be aware this is a temporary position to work on the COVID-19 pandemic.
· All rapid results done at private labs don’t go under probable. Only rapid antigen test go under probable provided they have met one of two criteria (symptomatic or exposure history which is contact with a confirmed case). Rapid PCR test are listed under confirmed.
· Positive antigen test automatically doesn’t get listed as probable. The Health Department does its due diligence to make sure all criteria for probable case definition laid out by DSHS (Department of state health services) are met.
· DSHS dashboard looks different than Ector County dashboard as DSHS dashboard only indicates confirmed cases. The Health Department has reached out to DSHS for explanation. DSHS representative is looking into the concern and will get back with the Health Department.
· Individuals who test positive more than once are counted as one case and not counted multiple times. The Health Department checks the data base when cases are reported to ensure cases not duplicated.

Nursing Home Update

· Three additional nursing homes reported COVID cases over the weekend
o Courtyard assisted living facility: one resident tested positive
o Madison Medical Resort: two staff members and two resident tested positive
o Buena Vida nursing and rehabilitation: one staff member tested positive

o 14 residents
o 4 staff members

o 4 total cases
