Blakely Construction Company is looking for a couple of hard working, responsible individuals for Labor Hand/ Roustabout position. Must live in the Hobbs NM/Carlsbad NM area. This person is responsible for supporting oilfield construction operations. The position is diverse and job duties may vary on a daily basis. The Labor Hand/Roustabout may be required to work with hand tools, power tools and equipment. Roustabouts may be required to work in all types of inclement and/or extreme weather conditions.

Required:

o Experience in oil and gas field construction is preferred

o MUST HAVE VALID DRIVER LICENSE
o Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screening, employee physical and Work Steps evaluation.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

o Safely work in a potentially hazardous environment
o Secure equipment and safely transport according to company policy and OSHA regulations
o Install and make repairs to oil and produced water tanks, including confined space entry
o Dig pits and lines
o Install and repair motors on equipment
o Operate high pressure power washing equipment
o Install and repair piping, valves, pumps, motors
o Install and repair pipelines
o Repair dikes, perform general ground work around well sites
o Perform access road upkeep and maintenance
o Clean up oil spills and general clean up
o Must be proficient with hand and power tools as well as heavy equipment

Minimum Qualifications:

o Experience working as laborer in oilfield construction, including proficiency with all types of tools and equipment
o Ability to repeatedly lift up to 75lbs.
o Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
o Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
o Must pass pre-employment Work Steps and physical
