I found this Airpod holder on a walk here in Pleasant View yesterday. Anybody lose this? It was found just off 1000 West right before Casey Lane. Ask your kids. It still had little charge so I assume it hasn't been lost for too long.

So glad to hear this con man was arrested. We helped several homeowners fix their roofs after Tony took advantage of them. Homeowners need to be careful when a contractor requests money up front to do the job. Reputable contractors have accounts with supply companies and don't need to take money down to pay for their supplies. Do your homework on the contractor.

The Weber County Sheriff’s Office recently arrested Tony Aguilar. Tony is accused of defrauding several individuals by entering into contracts with them to do their roofs or other projects on their homes, taking a down payment, then doing some work but not completing it or providing a refund. We believe Tony has other victims who have either not made a report or have been told it is a civil issue. If you have had a similar experience with Tony, please contact the law enforcement agency where the incident occurred to file a report.

I got a notice from Google today that I can Personalize my business and add an "Attribute" to my business. So I click on the link and I can only add the following to my business:

Identifies as Black Owned
Identifies as Latino Owned
Identifies as Veteran Owned
Identifies as Women Owned

I tried to add the field "Family Owned" but that was not an option.

I thought that in today's society I could identify as "all of the above" if I felt like it.

Just for the record, at Casey Roofing, we are friendly and inclusive to all. We provide a valuable service to all.

I found this amusing, maybe you will too.
I was inspecting a roof for a homeowner (really nice older lady) who was worried she lost some shingles in our most recent wind event. I inspected the roof and found no damage. I reported this to her and she was excited. It turns out the shingle on her lawn was her neighbors.
Homeowner: How much do I owe you for coming out?
Me: Nothing, I was in the neighborhood.
Homeowner: I want to pay you because I want you to keep coming out when I call.
Me: How about you pay me the price of a hamburger so I can get some dinner:
Homeowner: How much are hamburgers now?
Me: 5 bucks.
Homeowner: Are they that much?
Me: Yes, apparently you haven't been to In and Out burger in a while.
Homeowner: Oh, I never go out.
Me: Well thats about the cost of a burger.
Homeowner: Well, come on in and I will write you a check.
Me: No thanks, we are good. I don't want to risk giving you Covid!

How long will my shingles last? That is a question we get asked all the time. One answer is like a Clint Eastwood quote, "that really depends on how lucky you feel". This barn had a shingle on it that was only designed to last about 20 years and it had been on there considerably more! Don't let your roof look like this!

Talk about a nutty roof repair! This house had some rotten wood on the eaves and a neighborhood squirrel was really taking advantage of the extra storage space!!
