As we have been blessed to have a wonderful start to our season we are wrapping up the spring scalping and now it’s time to aerate and get that lawn breathing again. We are going to start aerating Wednesday, if you would like your lawn to be the healthiest it can be give us a call or shoot us a message. Aerating starting at $35 and will go up depending on lawn size.

Here are some facts about scalping and lawn aeration to help make your lawn the healthiest most beautiful lush green grass everyone wants!!

Scalping a lawn is mostly suitable for Bermuda grass, which is a warm-season grass. That is because the grass is dormant during the winter, and scalping it can give it a kick start into growing in the spring. Scalping a lawn can also eliminate built-up thatch, and protect against lawn diseases. And it can help your soil get more sunlight, which can be beneficial to lawn growth.

The basic idea behind lawn aeration is that, like you, your lawn and the soil under it need to breathe.

The build-up of lawn thatch makes it difficult for your lawn to breathe.

Lawn aeration also breaks up compacted soil, allowing water and fertilizer to permeate into the root zone.
