HOME SWEET HOME 🏡🤍

Two weeks ago, we officially handed this one over to a beautiful family that we have absolutely come to adore. 🥰

There’s something incredibly rewarding about watching a set of plans become a home — but even more so when you know the people who will be making their memories inside of it.

From the polished concrete floors and stone fireplace to that kitchen, the gorgeous tile work, custom showers and all the little details throughout… we loved watching their vision come to life.

We’re so grateful they trusted Competent Builders to build the place they now get to call home.

The building part may be finished, but the best part is just beginning. ❤️

She’s starting to come together. 🖤

This is one of our favorite stages of a custom build — when the drywall goes up and suddenly you can really start to see the home that’s been hiding inside all that framing.

There’s still plenty to come — paint, doors, trim and all those details that will completely transform these spaces — but we’re loving watching the vision begin to take shape.

Can’t wait to show you what’s next.

I shot this video a few weeks ago, and I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to brag on our trades. 🙌

We’ve officially moved beyond the rough-in stage, exterior stucco is underway, and drywall begins next week.

Before the walls go up and all of this craftsmanship disappears, we want to recognize the incredible trades who make it all possible. Day after day, they work tirelessly in the Florida heat, bringing skill, precision, and pride to every phase of this custom home.

A huge thank you to our slab crew, masonry team, electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, the gas company, and our framers. Your dedication and craftsmanship are the foundation of every beautiful home we build.

At Competent Builders, we’re incredibly grateful to partner with professionals who consistently deliver exceptional work—even when most of it will never be seen once the home is complete.
