🏛️ A look at progress on the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Courthouse Building 🔥

Part of the Tribal Capitol Complex Master Plan, the Courthouse Building draws inspiration from the element of fire—symbolizing energy, transformation, and connection. The design reflects the ceremonial fires where leaders gathered to share ideas, build consensus, and strengthen community.

As construction continues in Okmulgee, the building’s architecture and site features honor Muscogee (Creek) traditions while creating a modern civic space for future generations.

🏈 Welcome to the 2026 Draft Class! 🏈

We recently celebrated Draft Day 2026, an NFL-style event welcoming summer interns and recognizing the exciting opportunities ahead for the next generation of designers.

This year's draft class includes Danielle Arias and Whitney Williams, who will spend the summer gaining hands-on experience alongside our architects, planners and designers. Their creativity, talent and fresh perspectives will contribute to projects that honor Indigenous culture, community and place, and we're excited to see all they accomplish as part of the New Fire Native team.

A sneak peek at progress on the The Muscogee Nation’s Citizen Services Building ✨

As part of the Nation’s Tribal Capitol Complex Master Plan, this project draws inspiration from the water element—one of four guiding concepts alongside fire, earth, and wind. Rooted in the Nation’s deep connection to nature, the design reflects the Tribe's story of past, present, and future through symbolism, geometry, and material expression.

Now rising from the site, each phase of construction brings this vision closer to life, honoring resilience, culture, and community in every detail.

Fresh air, fast miles, and a whole lot of local creativity—our NFN team enjoyed a full weekend in Oklahoma City. 🏃‍♂️🎨

From cheering on runners at the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon to exploring the vibrant displays and artists at the Oklahoma City Arts Festival, it was a great reminder of how energy and inspiration show up in so many forms.

Great to see the momentum continuing on the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Tribal Courthouse project following last week’s ceremony! This facility will play a key role in supporting the Nation’s judicial system and long-term growth, providing much-needed space for courts and the community it serves.

Working alongside The Muscogee Nation and Candor Building Solutions has been a meaningful part of bringing this vision forward.

We were honored to join The Chickasaw Nation and project partners for the groundbreaking of the Chickasaw Lighthorse Police Department Headquarters.

New Fire Native provided architecture and interior design services for this facility that reflects both function and meaning, bringing together Tribal Law Enforcement under one roof while expressing values of transparency, strength, and respect. From the building’s northwest orientation, symbolizing resilience and wisdom, to the use of natural materials, warm textures, and light-filled spaces, every element was thoughtfully considered to connect the facility to Chickasaw culture and community.

We’re grateful to contribute to a project that blends cultural significance with modern performance while honoring the history and mission of the Lighthorse Police Department.

Our employees teamed up to donate an OKC-themed gift basket to the Operation Holiday Spirit - OHS Steak Supper & Auction.🧺🎁 It was awesome to see the community come together in support of Air Force National Guard and Air Force Reserve families.🧡
