Here are some roof tips, as we are coming into storm season here in Oklahoma! 🏘
I have added some photos of missing shingles due to Oklahoma's high winds!

Before the Storm
✅ Inspect Your Roof – Check for loose or missing shingles, damaged flashing, and any weak spots. Repair any issues promptly.
✅ Clean Gutters & Downspouts – Remove debris to prevent water backup and reduce the risk of leaks.
✅ Trim Trees & Branches – Cut back any overhanging limbs that could break and damage your roof.
✅ Secure Loose Items – Patio furniture, grills, and other objects can become airborne and cause roof damage.
✅ Check Attic & Ventilation – Look for leaks, mold, or signs of moisture that could indicate existing weaknesses.
✅ Reinforce Flashing & Seals – Ensure flashing around chimneys, vents, and skylights is secure to prevent leaks.

During the Storm
🚨 Stay indoors and avoid checking for damage until it's safe.
🚨 Listen for unusual noises, such as debris hitting the roof.
🚨 If you notice leaks, place buckets or towels to minimize interior damage.

After the Storm
🔍 Inspect for Damage – Look for missing shingles, leaks, or dents in metal roofing.
📸 Document Any Issues – Take photos for insurance claims.
📞 Call a Professional – Schedule a professional inspection if you suspect damage.
🛠 Make Temporary Repairs – Cover any exposed areas with tarps if needed to prevent further water intrusion.
