This tanker wouldn't pass inspections because the tub was full of rust, scaling in spots. This is an indication of embedded soluble salts.

Due to these embedded salts a simple blast and paint would definitely lead to a coating failure.

Our approach was to blast to near white metal and apply POR15. It's a rust converter and paint in one, simultaneously stopping the rust in its tracks and coating the surface. We then topcoated with a bedliner for it's anti slip properties for safety.
