Permits - What are they and why do they matter?

In construction, a building permit is the most common type. It gives permission to start a project like building an addition, remodeling, or making structural changes to a home. The permit ensures the work follows local building codes, zoning laws, and safety standards.

For many projects, permits are an essential part of the process, and your General Contractor should be able to pull permits for your project.

Pulling a permit means:
✔️ Submitting project details to the local municipality
✔️ Ensuring plans meet building codes
✔️ Scheduling required inspections throughout the project
