Here is a more extreme situation when ventilation is not properly installed on the roof.

The original roofer that put the roof on less than 10 yeas go failed to fix any ventilation problems. Because of this it has not only cause the roof to start to fail but ruined all the plywood and the house will have to get new OSB on the entire area
