I don’t know who needs to hear this, but the manufacture date for your smoke detector is on the back of the unit. If that date is over 10 years old, or it doesn’t have a date at all, it needs to be replaced.

Yesterday, after 4 days of re-wiring this home, me and my customer did a celebratory dance party after I informed her there was no longer any old cloth wiring in her home. 🕺💃 🎉
Today she told me it was strange for her to go to sleep last night, not being worried about an electrical fire, and the first night she didn’t hear a zapping electrical noise from her old degraded cloth wiring.

She told me we really lived up to our name Spark Doc Electric! ⚡️
