Job Title: Lawn Care Technician
Job Description:
As a Lawn Care Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the overall health and appearance of lawns for residential or commercial clients. Your primary duties will include performing lawn care services such as mowing, fertilizing, aerating, seeding, and applying pesticides or herbicides as needed. You will also be expected to diagnose and address lawn-related issues, such as pests, diseases, or poor soil conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine lawn maintenance tasks, including mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing debris.
• Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides according to schedule and label instructions.
• Conduct soil analysis and recommend appropriate treatments to improve soil health and lawn quality.
• Aerate lawns to alleviate compaction and promote healthy root growth.
• Overseed thin or patchy areas to encourage dense and uniform turf growth.
• Monitor lawns for signs of pests, diseases, or other issues and take appropriate action to mitigate problems.
• Operate and maintain lawn care equipment, including mowers, trimmers, spreaders, and sprayers.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and provide recommendations for lawn care maintenance.
• Keep accurate records of services performed, materials used, and client interactions.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with chemicals and equipment.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in lawn care maintenance or landscaping preferred.
• Knowledge of lawn care techniques, equipment operation, and plant health.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record may be required.
• Certification or licensure in pesticide application may be preferred or required, depending on local regulations.
