That is where Shack Built comes in. We are your team for creating a game-day space built for entertaining, relaxing, and enjoying every big play.

This basement bar and sports lounge started as an unfinished concrete basement and was transformed into a custom space where the homeowner can watch the games, host friends, display an impressive collection of sports memorabilia, and serve drinks from the bar.

The remodel also includes a full bathroom and a hidden door to a secret space, complete with a high-tech wireless keypad for securely storing sensitive documents, valuables, a safe, and more.

From unfinished space to the ultimate sports lounge, Shack Built brings the details together to create a space made for the way you live.

At Shack Built, we believe realistic timelines and clear expectations are part of a great remodeling experience.

For our client Debbie, we updated the flooring in her laundry room while she was away. In just 3 days, our team completed the floor, cleaned up the space, and had the washer and dryer set back up and ready to use.

There is something pretty special about coming home to a refreshed space that is already complete, clean, and functional.

At Shack Built, we are always ready to take on a challenge.

This remodel was significant in scale, including a home addition, full kitchen remodel and expansion, half bath, patio, and sun porch.

Like many older homes, this project came with a few surprises along the way. We also worked through material shortages, but our team stayed focused on communication, problem-solving, and keeping the project moving forward.

The result is a remodel that brought the home to its full potential and created a space designed for the way our client lives.

Meet Kristyn Bruce, Project Coordinator at Shack Built.

Kristyn joined the Shack Built team in early 2025, bringing 8 years of project management experience from the family entertainment and arcade industry. She worked closely with design, merchandising, and sales teams to help projects move smoothly from idea to completion. Kristyn brings this knowledge to Shack Built and leads the pre-construction process and keeps communication flowing between design, sales, and production. Her focus is on organization, clear communication, and creating a better experience for both our clients and our team.

Outside of work, Kristyn loves spending time with her husband, Jeremy; their daughter, Oaklyn; and their family dog, Slater. You can often find them cooking together, having spontaneous dance parties, wrestling matches, or heading outside for their next adventure.

At Shack Built, we specialize in turning underused spaces into places you can truly enjoy.

This walkout basement remodel is a perfect example. What was once a plain, unfinished area was transformed into a warm and inviting space designed for relaxing, entertaining, and everyday living.

The remodel includes a family room with a kitchenette and wet bar, a sunny sitting area, and a bright sewing and craft room complete with custom barn doors and built-in storage.

Matching custom cabinetry under the TV and in the kitchenette helps tie the entire space together, while large windows bring in plenty of natural light throughout.

A finished basement is more than extra square footage. It is a chance to create a space that works better for your home and the way you live.
