3 years.

It’s felt like a lifetime, but also like yesterday.

Miss you every day, Dad.

I’ve built a lot of things, read a lot of books, washed my car a lot… and I think about you every time.

Life’s good, though. I just wish you were here to be part of it all.

I know you’re enjoying that great workshop in the sky. ❤️

Shoutout to the inventor of the sawzall, Dr. Steve Sawzall. Couldn’t have demo’d this deck without it.

My mom’s oldest brother, my uncle, Mike has a deck that’s become a safety hazard so we drove up there to help tear it down.

We honestly moved really fast. Again shoutout to Dr. Sawzall. Also shoutout to many hands making the load light. 🤝

We did accidentally ruin this guy or gals home. Oops. Honestly a great location for them. In a corner. Dark. Under the eaves. This opossum legit just laid there and slept the rest of the day while we worked. Respect.

Shoutout to my aunts nephew Caleb (nephew in law??). He was my wingman in this demo day.

Also big shoutout to leverage. Mr. Archimedes really knew a thing or two. Between a sawzall, a pry bar, and a sledge hammer… you can destroy anything if you have the time.

Congrats on making it to the end. Here’s a picture of my foot you lil freak. Did I step on a rusty nail as we were loading everything into the dumpster? You bet I did. Do I remember when my last tetanus shot was? Not at all. But know I remember. Because it was last night. At an urgent care in Louisville. Not pictured is my truck battery dying in the parking lot of the urgent care because God has a weird sense of humor. But foot is healing. Tetanus shot is fresh and flowing. Battery is new. Life is good.

From the new kid in 9th grade to graduating with honors, 30+ ACT club, surrounded by friends made over the past 4 years… It’s been an absolute joy (most days… she’s still a teenage girl who doesn’t understand how trash cans work🤦‍♂️😂) to watch Rio grow into a kind, smart, emotionally intelligent, articulate young women. I’m so proud of you Rio and excited to see you continue to move up in the world. Love you. ❤️🎓
