We had the privilege to sod this front and side yard in Sunset hills, MO ☀️

Slopes with this steep of a grade are always stapled to ensure the sod doesn’t slide during the initial watering process or in the event of a big rainstorm.

This pool install was scheduled in early March although the homeowner wanted to wait until the sprinkler system got de-winterized for perfect watering coverage. This was an extremely smart decision not only considering the watering requirements for new sod but also the unique shape of the disturbed area.

An abundance of pine trees can make it extremely hard to sustain a healthy lawn due to the toxicity in the soil caused by the pine needles. In order to sustain a healthy lawn, you must remove pine needles frequently and apply fertilizer to make the ph more suitable for fescue grass.

On this project the Wehde Greenscape crew:
• Removed several inches of pine needles.
• Mended soil to remove toxicity from fallen pine
needles
• Trimmed branches to increase sunlight exposure
• Graded and cut in two separate swales to direct
water away from foundation and towards the
street.
• Installed 3,200 square feet of fescue sod.

Always a pleasure to complete another sod installation for a repeat customer.

The previous project was completed inside a circle drive last September 20th making these photos 10 months post installation! Yesterday we sodded the other side of the driveway.

Drainage was the main concern on this project. The new patio extended far out and cut off the previous swale that directed the water to the area inlet. In order to fix this problem we created a new swale around the patio and installed a French drain in the middle of it to get maximum drainage.

On top of that we tore out, regraded, and sodded the entire lawn for a fresh, uniform curb appeal.

We were extremely happy to partner up with Cozart homes and sod these two newly constructed houses in Wright city, MO. With a total of 8 hours of grading and 25 pallets of fescue sod they turned out great!

We are now scheduling for spring of 2023.

Just in time for the rain! 🌧

After removing and hauling off various weeds and grass we installed nine pallets of premium fescue sod and extended a downspout under a sidewalk to the yards natural slope.

Still scheduling sod and general landscaping for November.
