Helpful tip for keeping your herbs growing strong
I used to snip herbs way too low, and they never thanked me for it 😅 A few cutting tips I’ve learned:
🌿 Basil grows fuller when I pinch above a node, not down on the main stem.
🌱 Cilantro keeps going longer when I cut the outer stems low and leave the middle alone.
✂️ Rosemary is one I never cut into old wood — I only trim the soft green parts.
🌾 Thyme likes small, frequent trims much more than one rough chop.
🪴 Mint gets bushier when I cut it back often instead of just taking a few top leaves.
Good herb cutting is really about helping the plant grow back stronger 🌿
