Mr. Yard is now on Summer Break! The yard is officially closed on Saturdays and Sundays through the month of August. We will re-open on Saturdays as of September 1st.

If you are thinking of installing fabric under your mulch, please don't. Here is a great diagram showing how w**ds grow on top of w**d fabric. If you want to use fabric, then please do so under stone rather than mulch.

We have an exciting update, as we can now service our customer base with a newer truck that has a larger capacity.
Our team found a 2018 International dump truck with less than 8000 miles. What a find!

Just a little weekend humor from all of us here at Mr. Yard

Imagine calling for a load of dirt or much and getting this invoice:

Dirt Price: $275

Then…

➕ Loader Appreciation Fee
➕ Dispatch Convenience Fee
➕ Equipment Wellness Fee
➕ Environmental Appreciation Fee

And when the driver arrives:

“Would you like to leave a 20% tip?”

No shots of other business models. I know every industry has its own challenges. It just got me thinking how funny it would sound if we handled dirt or mulch sales the same way.

Around here, we try to keep it simple:

A load of product is a load of mulch, soil, or stone.

What other fees should we have added to the joke invoice? 😜

🌞 ARE YOU READY FOR A DRY STREAK? NORTHERN OHIO… IT’S HAPPENING.

The pattern we’ve been begging for is finally locking in and it’s a big one. From May 25 through June 2, rainfall across Northern Ohio looks well below normal, and many spots may see less than 0.20" total for the entire stretch. Yes… your yard might finally stop squishing like a wet sponge.

🌬️ THE “DOME” SETUP AND WHY IT MATTERS
A large high‑pressure system is building over the central U.S., and we’re sitting right on the edge of that protective bubble the “dome”. Storm systems will be forced to go around us, not through us, keeping most of the region dry, calm, and actually enjoyable.

Could we see a stray shower here or there? Sure. But the overall theme is DRY, and the atmosphere is not showing any signs of severe weather to close out May.
May is going out like a lamb this year.

🌡️ TEMPERATURES: COMFORTABLE → WARM
Expect near‑normal to slightly above‑normal temps, with most days in the mid to upper 70s, and a few days pushing into the 80s. Basically: peak patio weather.

🌤️ THE BEST PART?
We just have to get through this weekend’s rain… and then we’re looking at 7–10 days of genuinely pleasant weather. Sunshine. Dry ground. Outdoor plans that don’t get canceled. Ohioans everywhere rejoicing.
