After a handyman finished his work, the customer called him back & complained that the breaker keeps tripping. The handyman refused to go back to fix it. I was then called onsite and found this problem! Never use a handyman or general contractor to work on your electrical system!! Not only is that against the law, it’s also extremely dangerous. They’re not licensed for anything electrical!

For those of you that hire a handyman or a general contractor to do your electrical, just look at these photos of their work. (It’s illegal for anyone other than a licensed electrician to touch ANYTHING electrical RCW 19.28.041)

Here’s a perfect example of why you never have a “friend” do your electrical. This RV box wasn’t properly grounded. The black wire was cut from chaffing against the irregular hole drilled into the box which made the metal box energized. I got shocked just touching the door to open it up! Don’t hire friends, family, or handyman to do your electrical projects, only hire a licensed electrician!
