The last 72 hours have been packed with lots of miles and work. We traveled to Caldwell, Idaho to grout the annular space between a 96" host pipe and a 91" liner.

When we arrived (on our 1st anniversary 😅) we were a little shocked to find out it wasn't ready. The end seals had not even begun to be built. Rather than check into our Air BNB and relax for the day, we got to work providing direction and hands on labor to get the end seals built. We grouted the following day.

Oh, and it was 95 degrees with no shade. 😬

Last week we finished up a night job in SeaTac at 1:20 a.m.

For this one we didn't have the luxury of a slurry delivery truck. The mixing took place in a portable stand mixer. We had to add about 7.5 gallons of water to every 94lb bag of cement.

Last week, along with Crea Construction, we sliplined and grouted this culvert under US-2 in Priest River, Idaho.

It was a 48" CMP that was extremely deteriorated.

The first day involved removal (by hand) of about 2-3 yards of boulders and debris.

It was lined with a 42" Snap-Tite liner on the second day.

We grouted it on the third day, using an approximately 42 PCF lightweight cellular concrete.

This is the sculpture we are grouting underneath, today.

We're installing Dan Webb's "Move Your Boulder" as part of our Job Order Contract with Sound Transit. This massive granite public art sculpture is at Sound Transit's Redmond Technology Station, part of the East Link light rail expansion.
