This spring I completed training to become a Phius Certified Passive House Builder®. It was a doozy of an undertaking but so so worth it. I’ve been working in the high performance industry for some time now since my tenure at in 2011 and had a good foundation, but I found this program to be extremely useful. Thanks to , , Dan Whitmore and for the invaluable knowledge, friendship and community.

This spring the team and I have been busy renovating an 87 year old house in the Lacey historic district. We’re executing a thoughtful kitchen design by the as well as some much needed upgrades to the windows and doors . Being well versed in high performance building, custom carpentry and customer care really pays off in renovations where the owner chooses to remain on-site. We’re gearing up to trim out a custom home that we’ve been working on for a full year. This is a beautiful high performance home in Mason County. It has not been without its challenges to get it to this point but we are thrilled with some of the features and how it’s turning out.
