Asbestos is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS if disturbed! Mold and asbestos are similar in the sense that they both can create toxic compounds which can cause adverse health risks, if not addressed/dealt with properly. Vermiculite (asbestos-containing insulation) in attics is something we too often see, and is sometimes covered over with new insulation.
