There’s something special about seeing a design move from the page to the place it was created for.

Architectural Designer Alana Kerr recently visited the new pavilion taking shape at Papillion City Park, a project she has helped design. The butterfly feature offers a meaningful connection to the community, as “Papillion” comes from the French word for butterfly.

It’s always rewarding to see our work come to life, especially when thoughtful design details help tell the story of a place.

Our interns don’t just spend the summer learning from Schemmer. They bring fresh ideas, new energy and perspectives that make our teams stronger.

Before many of them head back to campus, our summer interns gathered for breakfast with CEO Steve Kathol to reflect on their experiences and celebrate their contributions. We’re grateful for everything they brought to Schemmer this summer, and we’re especially excited that several will continue working with us throughout the school year!
