We're glad you're here.

Since we were chartered by the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters on April 3, 1915, we have grown to over 800 members strong and have been fighting to protect the rights of steamfitters and plumbers in our jurisdiction. We are also in a constant battle to protect the integrity of the steamfitting and plumbing industry. In addition to servicing our membership local union 464 works very

hard to maintain the prevailing wage laws so that everyone working on a federal project receives decent wages and benefits. We also maintain a good working relationship with the various local and state enforcement agencies to maintain highest standards for the industry. We are also very active in the political arena to make sure codes are enforced and protected from attack, from those would like to see them weakened. We are constantly trying to organize the open shop and the open shop worker. Local union 464's charter directs us to protect all workers in our jurisdiction, union and non-union and try to elevate the wages and benefits of all working men and women in Nebraska and 12 counties in Iowa.

This page was established in 2010 as a replacement for 464 not having a Facebook presence at that time. I have attempted to transfer the administrative responsibilities to someone else without success. If the marketing department wishes to take ownership of the page, please feel free to do so. The only reason I have not deleted it is because it has consistently garnered a growing number of followers over the years.

Thank you to Pat Kellet, General Secretary Treasurer of the United Association of Plumbers, Pipeffiters, and Sprinklerfitters for being the key note speaker this last Saturday at the UNO William Brennan Institute for Labor Studies Promoting the General Welfare Conference. It was a well attended, and as always a very informative conference. Thanks to UNO and John Kretzschmar for providing this opportunity for labor to unite and do what we do best, educate each other and the community.

The Steamfitters & Plumbers Local Union 464 will be taking applications for the 2017 apprenticeship program beginning March 6th thru the 17th. Please see the photo below for information on the locations, times, and requirements.
We are looking for hard working goal oriented men and women with an interest in the pipe-fitting/welding and HVAC/R industry.
