Not every drip is a leak.
During hot, humid weather, warm moisture-filled air can come into contact with cooler building surfaces, leading to condensation. Ductwork, chilled-water piping, diffusers, and other components can all become potential sources of moisture.
When water damage is discovered, determining whether the moisture came from condensation, plumbing, or exterior water intrusion can be an important part of identifying the cause.
KPE’s forensic engineers evaluate the conditions and physical evidence to help determine where the moisture originated and why.
