Not every drip is a leak.

During hot, humid weather, warm moisture-filled air can come into contact with cooler building surfaces, leading to condensation. Ductwork, chilled-water piping, diffusers, and other components can all become potential sources of moisture.

When water damage is discovered, determining whether the moisture came from condensation, plumbing, or exterior water intrusion can be an important part of identifying the cause.

With the heavy rain we’ve experienced lately, water intrusion can quickly become a concern for buildings of all types.

Where water damage appears isn’t always where the water entered. Moisture can travel through roofing systems, wall assemblies, flashing, windows, and other building components before becoming visible inside.

KPE’s forensic engineers evaluate the evidence to help identify the source and cause of water intrusion and determine the extent of resulting damage.

Progress continues at Stanton Community School District!

The renovation and addition are well underway, and as students and staff head back to school, the newly renovated classrooms are ready to welcome them back.

Work on the addition will continue into the school year with minor interruptions as construction moves forward. It’s exciting to see the project take shape while the school remains active and ready for another great year.
