The Quest Is... Completed 🔎

Our final stops on this journey were at Goodwill's West Dodge location, where we collected our fourth sticker. Special guest Lisa from our BD team joined us and stocked our office with a new tote bag. Then, lastly, today we finished our run by visiting the South Omaha location to collect our fifth and final sticker.

Beyond the collection, this Quest was a great reminder of what Goodwill makes possible across our community: giving donated goods a second life, keeping usable items out of landfills, and creating workforce opportunities that build brighter futures. What a fun way to get out and explore the place we call home... We'll see you next year!

New Construction: River’s Edge South 📸

A New View. Next up, the second half of River's Edge Park, where The Charles E. Lakin Foundation Pier will also be opening very soon! Just in time for a summer full of quiet walks and family stops, this attraction brings a fresh perspective of the city from the Council Bluffs side of the river. From shaded seating and warm wood decking to skyline views, this space was built for the moments that make a riverfront feel alive. Enjoy an up close view stretching just beyond the water 🌊⬆️👀

The Next Stop? Up. Our team is putting together the finishing touches here at River’s Edge Park, where The Treetop Walk & MidAmerican Energy Adventure Tower is almost open! As the finish line approaches, every final detail reflects a team focused on opening something the Council Bluffs community can experience and enjoy for years to come. Better 🤝 Together // Q2

Last week, our office and field teams came together for our second quarterly meeting of 2026! Taking the time to reflect on our completed work, the challenges we've had to navigate, and the momentum carrying us into the second half of the year.

These meetings matter because they create space for honest updates, shared direction, and a clear look at where we’re headed as one unified group. From leadership insights to department updates, each conversation reinforced the same standard: when our people stay aligned, our projects continue to move with purpose.

Lighting Up The Riverfront 💡

The River’s Edge South Observation Pier is bringing a new above-the-water experience to Council Bluffs, creating a place where residents and families can step beyond the shoreline and take in the Missouri River from a whole new perspective!

At night, the space really comes alive. Warm lighting, wood textures, open walkways, skyline views, and quiet moments over the water all come together to create something that feels both peaceful and exciting. We’re incredibly proud to help bring this beautiful piece of River’s Edge Park to life, and we can’t wait for the community to experience it for themselves 🌙🌉✨

The Quest Continues 🔎

Our midway stops on this journey were at Goodwill Omaha's HQ, where we hosted our YouthBuild program last week! After the fun-filled day of building with the class, we collected our second sticker. Next, we stopped by the 84th & West Center location to collect our third sticker, taking us over the halfway point. The final push is on, and we can't wait to fill our card next week...

Old Space 🤝 New Potential

Right down the road from our Lueder office, we will be turning a former Sherwin-Williams building into a clean, functional white-box shell ready for future tenant improvements. This is the “before” before the “after”, an existing commercial/industrial space with solid bones, warehouse and office components, overhead doors, and open floor areas that will soon be repositioned for the future!

Our scope includes selective demolition, system upgrades, exterior improvements, and careful coordination throughout the building. The goal is straightforward: create a safer, cleaner, more flexible space that’s ready for the right business to make it their own.

Not every project starts from the ground up. Some begin with an existing structure and a team that knows how to turn yesterday’s space into tomorrow’s opportunity 🏢◻️💡

The Best Kind Of Classroom Has Sawdust On The Floor 🪚

We were proud to spend the day alongside the Goodwill Omaha YouthBuild program, giving students hands-on experience in carpentry, drywall, and even a bit of electrical wiring. With guidance from Lueder team members Josh, Tim, and Jamie, students worked together to construct a corner wall from the ground up, applying real trade skills in a real shop setting!

A special shoutout to Terrae, Xavion, Racari, and KeiyaMonay for showing up with focus, great attitudes, and the kind of effort that makes the finished product even more meaningful. You built something solid, and you should be really proud.
