A new chapter in housing is coming to Council Bluffs, Iowa.

We're excited to be part of the design team for a new 168-unit apartment community that will bring much-needed housing to one of the region's growing communities.

Designed with today's residents in mind, the development will offer a variety of thoughtfully planned apartment layouts featuring modern finishes and contemporary living spaces. Residents will also enjoy a full complement of amenities, including a welcoming clubhouse, fitness center, and both attached and detached garage options.

As Council Bluffs continues to grow, quality housing plays an essential role in supporting the community's future. We're proud to help create a place that not only provides new homes but also fosters connection, convenience, and a high quality of life.

There’s something pretty rewarding about heading into work early in the morning and seeing your name on the monument sign as you pull in.

Then you get to the front door and realize you’re not the first one there—the local wildlife has already stopped by to say good morning.

Not a bad way to start the day. A quiet building, a little wildlife, and a reminder of what you’ve worked hard to build.

What if a former public works maintenance shop became a luxury place to call home?

Well... that's exactly what we've done.

We recently stopped by the construction site of the redevelopment of the former Papillion Public Works maintenance facility. For decades, this building served the community by housing and maintaining the city's public works equipment. Today, it's being transformed into four distinctive luxury apartment homes in the heart of downtown Papillion.

Projects like this remind us that great architecture isn't always about building something new. Sometimes it's about seeing potential where others see an aging structure. Through thoughtful design, creative problem-solving, and a little imagination, an existing building can be given an entirely new purpose while preserving a piece of the community's history.

It's exciting to watch this transformation take shape, and we look forward to seeing these unique apartments become someone's new home.

We were honored to once again sponsor a golf hole at the Paralyzed Veterans of America – Great Plains Chapter Golf Outing.

For many years, t r b ARCHITECTURE P.C. has proudly supported and participated in this outstanding event. It is always a privilege to spend a day with so many people who are committed to giving back to the men and women who have sacrificed so much in service to our country.

As a firm, we have always had a special place in our hearts for our veterans. Their dedication, courage, and selfless service have helped shape the communities we live and work in every day. We spent the day in Omaha capturing a recently completed office environment with the talented team at William Hess Photography. It’s always rewarding to see a space through the lens after the final details are in place and the project begins to tell its story beyond drawings and construction.

This project was designed to balance clarity, comfort, and performance — creating a workplace that feels both refined and highly functional for the people who use it every day.

Designed as both a working studio and a client-focused environment, the space reflects how we approach every project: purposeful, efficient, collaborative, and grounded in the details. Clean glass lines, open work areas, integrated presentation space, and a refined material palette create a modern office that supports clear communication and thoughtful design.

Throughout the office, subtle design elements pay homage to Omaha, including graphic references to the city’s street grid and urban fabric. These moments connect our work back to the community we serve and remind us that great design is always rooted in place.
