🌲Completed Project in Gretna, Nebraska 🌲

When these homeowners came to us, their main goal was simple: more privacy without sacrificing the beauty of their landscape.

Our solution? A natural, living privacy screen that will continue to grow and provide year-round screening for years to come.

This project included:
✅ Installation of 30 Taylor Juniper trees
✅ New landscape bed installation
✅ New shrubs and ornamental grasses
✅ Tan natural stone edging
✅ Decorative rock ground cover
✅ Privacy screening around the backyard perimeter and near the deck/hot tub area

One of the things we love most about this project is that it looks great today, but it will look even better in the years ahead as the trees mature and create the secluded outdoor retreat the homeowners envisioned! The newly planted Taylor Junipers create a natural “living fence” that softens the property line while providing privacy from the road and neighboring views.

🌿 Completed Project in Papillion, Nebraska 🌿

There’s something special about enhancing a property while keeping a natural, timeless feel and that’s exactly what we accomplished with this beautiful home in Papillion.

This landscape renovation included:

✅ Boulder retaining wall installation
✅ Natural stone edging
✅ New landscaping and plant material
✅ Top dress decorative ground cover rock
✅ Refreshed black mulch throughout the beds

The new boulder wall not only helps manage the property’s elevation changes but also adds texture, character, and a natural look that complements the home’s architecture. Fresh plantings, updated rock, and new mulch tied everything together, creating a clean, polished landscape that will continue to grow and thrive over the coming years.

This project was about solving problems while improving curb appeal.

The existing retaining wall had reached the end of its life, drainage issues were causing concerns throughout the property, and the river rock landscape had become difficult to maintain and refresh.

Our team:
✔️ Removed and replaced the failing retaining wall
✔️ Corrected drainage issues to better manage water throughout the property
✔️ Removed the existing river rock ground cover
✔️ Installed fresh brown mulch for a cleaner, more polished appearance

The result is a landscape that not only looks dramatically better but also functions the way it should for years to come.

🌲 Bagworms: Small Pest, BIG Damage 🌲

Seeing brown spots on your arborvitae or evergreens? Those little hanging “bags” or “Pinecones” could be bagworms…and they can strip a shrub quickly if left untreated.

Bagworms feed on needles and foliage, stripping plants of the greenery they need to survive. A heavy infestation can:
❌ Thin out shrubs quickly
❌ Cause entire branches to die
❌ Permanently damage or even kill smaller trees

And the scary part? Many homeowners don’t notice until significant damage is already done.

🗓 Best time to treat: Late spring to early summer (when larvae are small and actively feeding) is the most effective time to spray.

• Early Stage: Treat with a targeted insecticide while larvae are young.
✂️ Late Season: Hand removal into a trash bag and disposal can help reduce next year’s population (every bag contains hundreds of eggs)

Timing is everything. Once the bags mature, sprays become far less effective.
