Not to brag but I think we have the very best clients and friends 😭 This summer has been full of growth, stress, new relationships, learning, and loss. Buckets of flowers, garden produce, baked goods, or just a kind word...it all adds up and is more appreciated than anyone probably knows. So not crying after being given flowers twice this week I swear🥲

Sparta lost his life on August 19th. It was very scary and sudden. His kidneys just stopped working, he was too good to show that anything was wrong until the very end. We built our lives around this dog and made sure to bring him on as many job sites that were appropriate. We are thankful that we had so many shop jobs this year because he got to be with us the entire time for those. His favorite thing was to be in the creek with us camping. His worst fear was to be left behind. We'll bring you everywhere buddy. You were a very special family member and we won't forget how much you cared about your people. You were always so concerned if we were stressed out or injured. We love you until the very end and after.

We thank everyone for their patience and understanding as we continue on from here.

We are probably biased... but we think a carpenter with a tool fe**sh is a green flag. While Jake and I are VERY extra and especially love the antique tools (if you haven't gone to the two antique stores in cashmere you're missing out!) tooling is one of the MOST important parts of running our business. If we realize that having another tool would make it more efficient for a project-we get it.

Time is money. We invest in that tool so we can charge just that much less for our work. Same quality of work but done slightly faster. Tool investment directly impacts our clients. So does tool maintenance. We make sure we keep up on both 💪 That's why I'm always so excited to share the new toy, um I mean the new TOOL we got😁

The Port Coffee is particularly special to us because it was also our job site for a time. Now it's the perfect place we can talk business, bring friends, and just hang out in a cozy setting. If you're a man this contraption attached to the spray paint will make your hands hurt less while spraying the stupid paint. If you're a woman it will in fact give you not one but TWO blisters on your middle finger in exactly 3 minutes. I have calluses...they did fail me and we are no longer on speaking terms 😭 and I am also flipping Jake off because wtf. 🤣

First time doing snap lock vinyl flooring? Tuesday tip: make sure your standing/kneeling on the already installed floor directly behind the new piece your tapping in. Sometimes already installed flooring can move around a bit on you and this helps prevent that while also making it easier to install the new piece. Also get knee pads, don't be a hero😆
