The severe ice conditions made for a very challenging day with extensive outages, lines down across the area, and damage due to power surges. We aided an older man in crossing the lines that had fallen outside his home to ensure his safe return inside. Today saw a significant volume of calls and text messages. It's crucial to stay aware of your surroundings as ice continues to build up and branches keep dropping.

A significant maintenance project was completed last night, involving the replacement of an 800-amp transfer switch during a scheduled power outage from 5:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. The system was restored by 8:00 a.m. A BIG thank you to the crew for their exceptional efforts in ensuring minimal disruption.
