We just want to say a great big THANK YOU to the Ontario Fire & Rescue, Fruitland Fire Department, and the Payette Fire Department for their timely response to the fire last night. While there was some property damage done, it would have been so much worse were it not for these professionals doing everything possible to get it out as quickly as possible and doing such an amazing job! Thank you!

We also wanted to say another big THANK YOU to the City of Ontario Police Department for there quick response and acting so quickly to divert traffic and keep our community and roads safe during the fire, and a THANK YOU to the Treasure Valley Paramedics for being on site in case anyone was injured.

We are proud to be a part of this community and are grateful for all of our first responders who dedicate themselves to protecting and caring for our community.

Edit: I should probably add that we were blessed that our building and none of our equipment was damaged.

Fingers crossed! Hoping for snow!

Good mernin and happy Friday to my early risers, night owls, insomniacs, and neurospicy besties.

It's game day! One of, if not, the biggest game to ever be played on the blue with playoff implications on the line. Classic Treasure Valley cold inversion football weather!

At kickoff time (6:00pm), temperatures will be in the mid to upper 20s with low clouds, patchy fog, and light snow possible throughout the game. Dress in multiple layers! Be careful traveling to the stadium. Give yourself plenty of time. Turn on your damn headlights. 😜

On Saturday, a cold front is going to approach the area from the north. There will be precipitation that precedes the front and most of the CAM data indicates that mountain snurfall is likely with the potential for pockets of snow, sleet, and freezing rain to occur on the valley floors where the inversion is most prevalent below 3500 feet.

Timing: Snow getting into Burns, Baker City, and Long Valley as early as 3pm pacific time, 4pm mountain time. Ontario and Caldwell as early as 7pm. Into Boise as early as 8pm. Into the Magic Valley as early as 10pm. I would be prepared for winter driving conditions to worsen as precipitation falls in tandem with the inversion.

We should see a lot of the inversion mix out going into Sunday; however I am not confident enough to say that it will be completely mixed out. Especially in the lower Treasure Valley and Weiser River Basin. I'll watch it closely.

Trace amounts of snow, sleet, and freezing rain on the valley floors with a low probability that we could get more than 1" in the lower Treasure Valley within my red oval circle shape thingy. Generally 1-3" in the mountains with a low to medium probability that you exceed 3" of accumulation above 5000 feet.

Scattered showers will continue through Sunday and will diminish by Monday. After Monday, shortwave ridging may try to build back in which may bring the inversion back temporarily until we return to another active weather pattern by end of next week. Drama is in the details. Be patient. I'll keep you posted!

A worm is pretty disappointing prize for waking up early if you ask me. 😜😜

I'll see myself out k great thanks bye.
