Do solar panels work at night? 🌙
Short answer: No. Solar panels need sunlight to produce power, so once the sun goes down, production stops. 🌅
But that doesn’t mean you’re left in the dark.🔋⚡
Most solar systems are connected to the grid. During the day, your system produces power and can send excess electricity back. At night, your home or business simply pulls energy from the grid as usual. If you have battery storage, you can use the power your system stored during the day after the sun sets.
Solar works with your utility service not against it to help lower overall energy costs and give you more control over your power.
