Help wanted:
Alternative Edge LLC is seeking Full or Part time assistance in helping to install Decorative Concrete Landscape Borders. Applicants must be suited for working manual labor, outdoors, in a residential setting. Immediate positions which need filled are:
- “Mixer.” Person responsible for aiding in ground preparation, adding correct ratio of sand, cement and admixtures into a mortar mixer and properly hydrating the mix, and assisting the team in various methods of installation and clean-up duties.
- “Laborer”. Person who shares duties in ground preparation and clean-up in addition to being responsible for wheelbarrowing concrete from the mixer to the site of extrusion and shoveling concrete into the extruder. (a motorized wheelbarrow will be utilized as site condition allow)
- ”Finisher”. Skilled Person who has a comprehensive knowledge of the entire process and whose primary duty is to trowel and form concrete once it's extruded, Roll stamps, cut and finish control joints, rinse and seal concrete edging.
All members of the team will be cross trained in all positions allowing for a comprehensive understanding of the entire process. Thus allowing individuals the ability to function as members of a cohesive team and gain numerous skills. All members of the team can expect to start out being paid no less than $18/ hr as W2 employees, with a high likelihood of weekly tips and bonuses, based on performance.
Prior knowledge of landscaping or concrete is a plus, however it is not necessary. The preferred candidates are people who are looking for gainful employment and know how to work. A positive attitude with a team mentality and a willingness to learn are all you need to get started here-
