But how that material gets from the truck to where it actually needs to go can affect a whole lot more than the delivery price.

Access, equipment, labor, sequencing, it’s worth thinking through before the job starts.

Five units. Five basements. A whole lot of gravel.

We’re out on this 5-plex for Visionary Homes slinging material directly where the crews need it.

On multifamily projects, the method matters just as much as the material—especially when you’re repeating the same scope across multiple units.

GCs: how would you handle the gravel on this one?

This is one of those jobs where how the material gets there matters.

We’re out in Ogden shooting gravel into a drain field and placing it where the crew needs it, without relying on the usual dump-and-move-it-later approach.

It’s pretty satisfying to watch, too.

Getting material to the jobsite is one deadline.

Getting it where the next crew actually needs it is another.

A load sitting in a pile might technically be “delivered,” but someone still has to move it, spread it, and get the area ready for whatever comes next.
