As a Christian, you are not exempt from going through circumstances that may produce a great emotional weight. Jesus declared: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world". God has assured you that His peace, which transcends all understanding, will fill and comfort you. Therefore, amidst your circumstances, you will be fortified and receive renewed strength. You must be mindful and know that one of the most prevalent strategies employed by the enemy is to instill discouragement within the people of God. A discouraged Christian will allows their soul to settle into dejection, losing the desire to fulfill the mandate the Lord has set before them. God understands and empathizes with your condition, He does not abandon you when you traverse the path of discouragement. If you find yourself discouraged, lift your eyes to the Lord. Allow His Holy Spirit to impart courage so that you may move forward.
M Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV, reminds you to, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you,” Keep going, don't quit. Look to Him, take your eyes off your own insufficiency and place them on the Almighty God, Prince of Peace, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. Jesus Christ, God with you, will give you what you need to move forward. When you feel incapable, when you feel your strength leaving you, when you find yourself tempted to say “I can’t,” remember, Philippians 4:13, “I can do all this through him who gives me strength." All who are believers have the blessedness of having their strength in Him. This is a truth that cannot be denied. If God is in you, then you partake of His strength. By faith, you receive a divine fortitude that works in all your circumstances. The Word teaches and reminds you that He is your fortress and that you can count on His strength. Don’t quit! E
