Now offering, debris disposal service. We will drop off a trailer to your location, you fill it up, we haul it away. Service starts at $150 per trailer load (approx. 12 yards), and includes up to 2 tons of debris. Cost after the first two tons is $50 per ton, not to exceed 5 tons total. Smaller loads prorated accordingly ($75 min), and out of area locations may require fuel surcharge for pick up and delivery.

When is the City of Orlando going to unleash contractors to pick up this debris!? Apparently it is more than they can handle. After Charlie this stuff was all cleaned up by now. They were paying people to help pick it up, instead of leaving it around the city to rot, kill yards, and clog storm drains.

Conway Lawn and Landscape is currently looking to fill a full time position on our lawn maintenance crew. Initial responsibilities would include, but are not limited to: running 2 cycle equipment, such as edgers, w**d eaters, hedge trimmers, blowers, etc.
Starting pay range is $8.50 -$12 per hour (contingent on experience). Monday-Friday 8am-4pm, with optional and/or occasional hours available on Saturdays. Please call our office at 407-281-9104, or pm me for more details.

Consistent rain throughout the area has allowed the grass to benefit greatly despite the soaring temperatures in our region. Keep an eye on shaded areas that seem to stay wet. A fungicide may be necessary in some circumstances.

April showers bring May... Drought...

Don't be afraid to run that irrigation. If your grass blades are rolling up like tubes, looks gray, or is crunchy to walk on, get some water on it ASAP.

Deep watering is best. At least 1/2"-3/4" per application. Train the roots to grow down into the wet soil. This will help your lawn sustain itself between extended periods without water. Also, AM watering, just before or as the sun is coming up is ideal.

If you have to water in the afternoon, do it early enough so the turf dries before it gets dark. Fungus and mold grow in dark wet places and you don't want to introduce that into your lawn.

The inclement weather that blew through the area today left a trail of wreckage and debris that remind me, on a smaller scale, of our area post hurricane Charlie.
